Bachelor in Design and Art – Major in Design: Visual communication in project (project leader)

The teaching method at the Faculty of Design and Art is based on interdisciplinary project
studies. The Bachelor in Design and Art – Major in Design - offers semester projects supervised by a team of lecturers specialized in practical and theoretical disciplines. In terms of project topics and work dynamics these projects are supervised by a project leader who will – according to this selection procedure – teach all aspects of “visual communication”.
The project leader works closely with both lecturers of the two integrated courses and fixes the project
subject and the time schedule together with them. In these projects, design students of all semesters will
learn the basic skills, working methods, methods and theories of visual communication for any possible
research and application field.

The teaching workload involved in the course, in addition to the lecture hours referred to above, requires
office hours and participation in all examinations in all sessions established by the academic calendar.
The contract lecturer can also be appointed as a:
a) member / substitute member of the exam commission of the end-of-course exams offered by the
School which fall into either the lecturer’s scientific sector and/or in those linked to that sector;
b) member / substitute member of the exam commission for the admission procedure;
c) non-supervising member / non-examiner of the bachelor final degree commission;
d) first supervisor, second supervisor, examiner in the final degree commission.

The application may be submitted according to the model provided in attachment ‘A’ and must be handed in to the following address by and no later than the deadline of 23rd of June 2016, 12:00 a.m.:

If the deadline falls on a non-working day, the effective deadline will be the first working day after the

Master in “Eco-social Design”: Design: objects /spaces / services (project leader)

Autonomous work on projects is at the center of the study curriculum. Students
engage in design projects with a social relevance and through their work they try to contribute to a
change toward a better society. Students develop their projects in a transdisciplinary way. They
connect skills and knowledge from various design disciplines and from socio-economic disciplines,
taught as well at the Master in a close relation to the projects.
Therefore, also design teaching in the fields of objects, spaces and services must consider all such
aspects and their interdependency, with the goal of unfolding the potentialities of design for
sustainable transformations, in cooperation with external partners of the civil society, companies
and institutions.

The date when the application is received by the Faculty Secretariat (dated entry stamp) is the date
