EU researcher - for further qualification (doctorate) for a maximum of 36 months
Degree course: Design
Job description: Interdisciplinary research in the intersection of architecture, textile design and interaction design with the aim of a graduate degree (doctorate), including the creation of designs and demonstrators around the topic of „Design of adaptable and responsive near-field interactions“ in the work package „Textile thinking for adaptable and responsive interior design – the scale of the interior“ (WP 3). The focus is on interdisciplinary practical work; exploratory design practice and the related methods and processes for analysis and ideation; issuing of scholarly publications in the aforementioned field.

Job description: Interdisciplinary research in the intersection of architecture, textile design and interaction design with the aim of a graduate degree (doctorate), including the creation of designs and demonstrators around the topic of „Textile structures for adaptable and responsive architecture“ in the work package „ Textile thinking for adaptable and responsive architecture - the scale of the building “ (WP 2). The focus is on interdisciplinary practical work; exploratory design of analog and digital process chains for the conception and construction of flexible and modifiable textile construction parts; design investigations into dynamic construction parts for buildings with innovative morphologies, considering structural and performative parameters; development of material and function for context-related and sustainably performing architectural elements for exterior use with innovative functionality with special regard to textile materials; issuing of scholarly publications in the aforementioned field.
