The TUM Department of Architecture invites applications for a Professorship »Design Methodologies« on Tenure Track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level to be appointed as soon as possible. We are looking for an architect with outstanding performance in architectural design. Generally, applications from high-potential early-career scientists (as Tenure Track Assistant Professors, pay scale grade W2) are just as welcome as applications from scholars of distinction with advanced research experience and international standing (as Associate Professors, pay scale grade W3).

Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain an internationally recognized research agenda in the field of Design Methodologies. It is expected that he/she converts his/her profound knowledge on design practice into relevant research. This is to be verified by existing academic publications. Applicants should use and view design as a tool for the development of architectural design and processes. Visible experience and interaction with related disciplines like engineering, design and art are beneficial. Collaboration with regional creative businesses and the TUM Munich Center for Technology in Society (http://www.mcts.tum.de) are expected. Special management and cooperation skills are a prerequisite.
