New means of architecture presentation through exhibitions
Conference – 27th March 2013
Faculty of Design and Art
Free University of Bozen Bolzano
Why do we organise architecture exhibitions? Conventional shows – that display sketches and drawings as if they were “paintings” and models as if they were “sculptures” – are contrasted by practices of display that focus on a different kind of investigation. In the last years we assisted
to the diffusion of exhibitions in which architecture production is presented as an issue integrated in a broader critical context and assume a central role from an unexpected point of view, as well as shows that concentrate on an emotional involvement of the visitor that is confronted with the
transmission of an experience capable of establishing an intense relationship between the public and the content exhibited.
